About

About

I craft digital worlds people can step inside. With roots in visual design and experience in business ops, I balance sharp aesthetics with goal‑driven execution. I’m a natural mediator who herds stakeholders and has a strong track record of unblocking project momentum. My educational and professional experience across Taiwan and the U.S. makes me a culturally adaptable collaborator who thrives with diverse teams and personalities.

From Web Design to VR

After being a web designer for many years and spending some time away from the design field, I decided to return with a different focus. Drawn to mixed reality and experience design, I began learning Unity and Blender to prototype experiences that can be tested in a headset.

Recently, I’ve built two early‑stage VR worlds and continue to make progress while connecting with professionals in the field and attending events to broaden my perspective.

I thrive in group settings. Hearing diverse viewpoints from people of different backgrounds energizes me. I especially enjoy collaboration. The mutual learning, growth, and camaraderie make long hours of work feel rewarding.

Aesthetic precision.
Strong results.

With years of academic training and experience as a web graphic designer, I’ve developed a strong eye for aesthetics and pixel-perfect detail. I’m also frequently praised for content generation and information architecture. Clients feel relieved handing me their marketing materials, knowing I’ll turn them into interesting, organized, and functional digital products.

I work well as a mediator in team conflicts. I’ve successfully rebooted and completed stalled projects by discussing concerns with stakeholders, resolving issues, and proposing practical solutions. I enjoy taking on challenges that push me to grow.

Design Roots.
Diverse Experiences.

After graduating from Pratt Institute in NYC with a master’s in Visual Communication, I worked as a graphic designer in media and investment companies for eight years. On the side, I taught web design at public organizations.

I returned to Taiwan to help my family’s manufacturing business, working as an admin assistant: handling calls, serving clients, reviewing contracts, and mediating team conflicts. Staying humble let me see the bigger picture and easily understand people from all walks of life.

California called to me when I hit a low point in 2013. After 11 years of perseverance and unspeakable sacrifices, I’m now at my destination. My journey back to the US was fraught with blood and tears, but I never wavered.

Viva la VR!

The world fascinates me.

I often dream up solutions to life’s problems with just a touch of my finger in the air. The possibilities of interacting with virtual objects in our physical world are limitless.

How can I guide my museum visitors into a piece of history when they’re deeply moved by a work of art? Can my goggles map the route down the hill when I ski in low visibility?

Merging virtual possibilities with real-world experiences.

I believe there are many ways to make things easier to understand and connect. For example, when I immerse myself in iterating tax returns, I imagine doing it in 3D with smart glasses, interacting with virtual blocks of accounts and exporting financial reports to a real printer. I feel a strong sense of fulfillment whenever I visualize one of my many visions.

The mountains are calling. And I must go.

When I’m not imagining what’s virtually possible in the real world, I’m either trekking along the Pacific Crest Trail or cozying up with my husband in our mountain cabin.

A UX practitioner

I apply UX principles to every project. For small businesses unfamiliar with UX, I subtly introduce techniques without naming them. It’s challenging but rewarding to watch the process unfold. When clients later recognize the value and find the results useful, the sense of fulfillment is immense. Feel free to connect:
